Tackling the construction of Queensland’s premier food and wine event for the first time was always going to be a little daunting, but the excitement of the challenge propelled the Neals Event Hire team through one of the biggest public celebrations we have been a part of!
Easily two of the most popular spaces for punters were Queensland Taste and Sweet Escape – Regional Flavours’ cooking demonstration hubs set in clear 15m x 10m Uniflex marquees and styled to perfection by the imitable Sharon Penny from Sharon Penny Designs. Embracing unique colour schemes in each build, Neals Event Hire created and delivered a unique full wall signage backdrop to complement the brilliant colour scheme.
The Marketplace and Street Trucks filled Little Stanley Street and surrounding lawns, with more than 100 smaller Pagodas and Structures providing a work station to endless food and produce vendors. Similarly, River Quay – with its live music, eclectic furnishings, and food stalls by some of Southbank’s favourite eateries – became party central well into the afternoon and evening.
However, it was easily The Hunting Club – a spectacular Black 10m x 20m Uniflex Build with custom 3m awning – that was the jewel in the Regional Flavours crown. This unique structure, a brand new addition to the Neals’ Event Hire arsenal, stole the show in the colourful landscape, and was well patroned – surely due to its stylish looks and the craft beer on offer!
Regional Flavours was the adventure it always promised to be – we can’t wait to team up with Brisbane Marketing for the 10 year celebrations in 2018!
